Jarvis meets information management requirement

With over 100 years’ experience in the construction industry, Jarvis now employs over 200 professionals across the group. The business has the resources to undertake almost any property related project and has a strong reputation based on the consistent quality of their delivery.

Jarvis has recently invested in Union Square for Construction to manage its project and contact information more efficiently, saving time and money.

The business currently has disparate systems in place to manage the increasing volume of data, and the control of these systems hinders the efficient collation and sharing of information. Having multiple points of project data is frustrating and time consuming, searching across various folder structures or requesting information from colleagues. Additionally, senior management have no easy means of reporting, something they have been eager to rectify.

A Union Square client initially recommended Union Square to Jarvis. Fiona Watson, Business Development Executive, explains the rationale behind their decision to invest:

“It was suggested we look into Union Square to meet our growing information management requirement. We wanted a robust platform in place that would link the various types of information together, making it easier to search for and report on information.”

Union Square is built around four core databases that enables the effective management of information. Data is stored centrally and tagged against relevant contacts and projects, so indexing and referencing information is simple. Businesses often find themselves needing to retrieve historic documents or emails, which can be a daunting task. Union Square promotes the idea that information can be accessed within a few clicks. This philosophy is fundamental to the success Union Square has experienced in the construction industry and one of the reasons it saves businesses time and money every day. Jarvis Group’s senior management will be able to track project success, putting them in a strong position when making decisions. At a glance, they will be able to see the performance of each project, flagging any areas that need improving.

“Union Square have been very supportive throughout the process so far. We are looking forward to starting implementation in the coming weeks.”
