Union Square to support top tech talent in Nottingham

We are pleased to announce our involvement as sponsors of Hack24, an annual competition organised by Tech Nottingham. The event, which is taking place on the 19th and 20th March at The Council House, one of Nottingham’s most iconic buildings, is a 24 hour coding competition designed to bring together local coding enthusiasts.

As one of the city’s fastest growing technology companies we are always interested in opportunities to connect with and support local talent. As a sponsor of the event’s lounge area, we will be helping teams and individual entrants to relax and recharge over what promises to be a high energy, but gruelling 24 hours.

Richard Vincent, Managing Director of Union Square, commented, “We have always been interested in supporting local talent and work hard to be an active part of the city’s business and technology community. Nottingham is a great place to live and work but it is often overlooked. Talented people and graduates wrongly believe that they have to go to major cities like London in order to get access to great opportunities and showcase their expertise. We want to show them that isn’t the case; Hack24 is a perfect demonstration of what we are trying to achieve.”

Nottingham is a fast growing technology hub with a number of well-known technology businesses based here, and Union Square is leading the charge. This means that the mission of Hack24, to bring together the local tech community, perfectly complements our desire to attract and support top talent.
